Branford Resident Cracks 1,000-point Mark
Branford resident Kathleen Timmons scored the 1,000 point of her career for Portsmouth Abbey School (Portsmouth, R.I.) in a game last month.
The senior finished the game - a 56-33 win over Newtown - tying her career high with 30 points, while pulling down 10 rebounds.
Timmons became just the second girl in school history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
Timmons may be able to crack the school's all-time scoring mark of 1,490 held by former boys' standout A.J. Beaulieu.
