Another Deep Run For Wilbur Cross?
As a No. 13 seed, Wilbur Cross reached the Class LL semifinals last season.
But the Governors no longer have Chantell Alford, who is now suiting up at Boston University. They do have a tough one-two punch is senior Shaniqua Fuller and sophomore Aaliyah Robinson though. Also senior Alexis Boyd has been a consistent third scorer and the injury issues during the regular season, are now behind Wilbur Cross.
So can the Governors, this year an 18th-seed, make another Cinderella run? It's possible.
Wilbur Cross faces No. 2 St. Joseph tonight in the second round. The Cadets haven't played in two weeks and lost to the Governors last year in the quarterfinals.
