Tuesday's Highlights

Mercy held off a late surge by Branford to edge the Hornets 49-47. Danielle Machold led a balanced attack for the Tigers with 14 points. Courtney Schissler scored a game-high 34 points, including 10 points in the final 2 minutes.

Sacred Heart Academy upset Wilbur Cross 44-41. Saige Johnson led the Pacers with 15 points. Shaniqua Fuller and Aaliyah Robinson combined for 37 points for the Governors.

Taylor Kulhawik broke a school record, drilling 7 3-pointers and finished with 21 points in Bunnell’s 59-43 win over Weston. The Bulldogs qualfied for the state tournament for the 20th straight season with the victory.

Jasmine Claxton scored 19 points for Career, as the Panthers beat Lyman Hall 58-32 to avenge an early season loss to the Trojans.

Sick, Keylantra Langley missed Lauralton Hall’s game against New Milford. The Crusaders still cruised to a 58-25 win.
