Hillhouse senior point guard Andreana Thomas signed a national letter of intent to play at Hofstra University.
The 5-foot-4 Thomas missed significant time last season with a leg injury, but came back to lead Hillhouse to its second straight Class L state championship. She averaged 14 points and 10 assists per game last season, and set a school mark with 21 assists in a game.
“Andreana is an explosive point guard who has the ability to push the tempo and change the pace of a game,” said Hofstra coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey in a press release. “She is very skilled in what she does and she will fit well in our system.”
Also, Mercy senior Amber Bepko, a Guilford resident, will play at Hartford. Bepko, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds for the Tigers, who reached the Class LL final last season.
