BEYOND THE ARC -- Former Hillhouse star, the first female McDonald's All-American from Connecticut and NHR All-Area MVP Bria Holmes has kept it going on the Division I level, earning Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors last week.
The New Haven native averaged 12 points and five rebounds in two games as the Mountaineers went 2-0 with victories over Marshall and St. Bonaventure.
Holmes had a career high of 15 points in the win over Marshall and also led the team in scoring. She has led WVU in scoring twice this season.
